The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (5)

Based out of Atlanta, Georgia, The Home Security Superstore was founded in 2003 and offers products focused on six areas of personal well-being: security, self-defense, surveillance, spy, safety, and survival. In addition to home safes you'll find products like GPS trackers, nanny cameras, motion alarms, bulletproof backpacks, stun batons, and more. The company has an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau along with many positive customer reviews.

Creative safe options

In the home safes category there are a total of 88 products. This includes gun safes, biometric gun safe boxes, digital electronic safes, floor safes, in-floor safes, wall safes, drop depository safe boxes, mailbox safes, hidden safes, diversion safes, and more. Some of the most interesting options we found were diversion safes in the form of AJAX cleaning bottles, Arizona iced tea cans, Pringles chip containers, fake sprinkler heads, Axe body spray cans, and more. The creativity is impressive.

Read buyer reviews

To quickly find the safe that you're looking for, you can browse by price, color, brand, availability, and features. We appreciate that customers can leave reviews on individual products and noticed that most ratings are nearly 5 out of 5 with reviews saying that the safes are exactly as they were advertised on the website and a good value for the money. Many of the safes from The Home Security Superstore don't have customer reviews, but it's nice that buyers have the option.

Subscribe and save

If you want to save a bit on your order from The Home Security Superstore, you can provide your date of birth and email address for a 7% off coupon. It isn't a huge savings, but why not take what you can get? Pricing in general is really reasonable at this store and since their selection isn't massive, you'll mostly be looking at standard small to medium-sized home safes that only cost a couple hundred dollars.

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (6)

Free shipping

If you spend over $25 at The Home Security Superstore, you'll get free shipping. If you happen to spend less than that (which probably won't be the case with safes), shipping is a minimal $3.99. Delivery date estimates are calculated at checkout, but many items ship next-day and will arrive within 2-9 business days.

90-day returns without restocking fees

The Home Security Superstore's goal is to keep customers happy, which is why they offer a 90-day return policy. You'll need to request a return authorization within 30 days and send the safe back within that time if you want a refund to your original form of payment. If you take your time sending back the safe, you have 90 days, but you'll either get store credit or qualify for an exchange. As long as the safe is in brand-new, working condition, you'll get 100% of the cost credited back to you without worrying about restocking fees.

Happy customers

It was a breath of fresh air to see that customers are genuinely happy with their shopping experience at The Home Security Superstore. They receive what they expect in a reasonable timeframe at affordable prices. What more can you ask for? The Better Business Bureau gives this company an "A+" rating, which is fantastic.

Highest rating

Although their inventory of safes is smaller than some of their competitors, it likely will take care of your basic needs. While you're at it, there are a lot of other interesting and helpful home protection products to browse at The Home Security Superstore as well. They've earned our highest recommendation.

Wayfair

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (9)

  • "A+" Better Business Bureau rating
  • Free shipping over $35
  • 30-day return policy
  • Thousands of safes at affordable prices
  • Unfiltered customer reviews

Wayfair was founded over 20 years ago and has quickly become the largest and most well-known home goods retailers in the world. They proudly claim over 29 million customers and are home to more than 22 million products with more added every day. Wayfair carries products in nearly every home goods category including bedding and bath, rugs, pillows, decor, outdoor furniture, organization, lighting, kitchen, home improvement, and more. It might not be the first place you think of, but you'll also find an impressive selection of home safes here as well.

Great variety

You'll find a solid selection of over 2,200 home safes at Wayfair (although some items displayed may not be in stock). Not everything you find here is your typical black box-looking safe, either. Wayfair has small garden decorations that double as key-keepers, diversion safes disguised as old books, hair brushes, clocks, and even bright colored security safes if you care to add some flair. You can browse the categories of home safes by size, price, type, lock, features, fire resistance, customer rating, capacity, brand, color, and more. Wayfair is good at helping customers narrow down exactly what they want since they have nearly limitless options in all their product categories.

No details are left out

Each home safe product description comes with a simple overview that includes details about estimated shipping dates, important features, weight and dimensions, specifications, and customer reviews. You'll probably get more information from shopping online for a home safe at Wayfair than you would if you found the same products in a brick-and-mortar store.

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (10)

Unmatched prices

Besides their incredible selection, Wayfair is well-loved because their prices are hard to compete with. Most of the time you'll notice that their safes are on sale, but even at full price, you can feel good about the cost, especially since you're going to get free shipping too. Some popular safes have hundreds of customer reviews, almost always nearly a perfect 5 out of 5 stars - proof that even if you pay a low price, you aren't getting a low-quality safe.

30-day return policy

You can return any products to Wayfair within 30 days of delivery for a refund or store credit (minus the cost of return shipping) if you change your mind about your order. As long as the item is still in the same condition it arrived in (disassembled with original packaging), you'll receive your money back via the same payment method you used at checkout.

Highly recommend

On top of their thousands of positive product reviews from customers, Wayfair gets a reassuring "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau. We are impressed with how many types of home safes you have to choose from here and we know this company will give you the most for your money. We highly recommend browsing Wayfair's selection of home safes. They've easily earned one of our highest ratings.

Walmart

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (13)

  • Over 1,000 safes available
  • "A+" Better Business Bureau rating
  • Most safes under $400
  • Free shipping over $35

Walmart is a multinational retail corporation that operates over 4,700 stores throughout the United States. It's safe to say that most everyone in the country has shopped at one of these stores at some point in time. They sell nearly everything throughout their departments that include grocery, electronics, clothing, furniture and appliances, toys, video games, beauty, patio and garden, baby, household essentials, pharmacy, and more. So it shouldn't be surprising that they have one of the biggest inventories of home safes out of any other retailers we've seen.

Huge inventory

You could scroll all day through the more than 1,000 safes available on Walmart's website. Since there are so many, you'll want to filter them by price, brand, rating, material, category, size, or features to narrow down what you need. We expected there to be a broader range of pricing and safe types considering Walmart's big inventory. What you'll mostly find are personal safe box sizes a little bigger than 1 cubic foot. So as far as tall gun safes, you're out of luck here.

Low prices

Since there are a lot of the same types and sizes of safes here, pricing doesn't vary too widely. All but 4 safes are under $400 and there are over 25 pages for under $200. Walmart is known for their low prices and that's definitely the case when it comes to their home safes. Luckily they also provide unfiltered customer reviews on each product so you will know if the low prices also mean low quality or if you're actually getting a great deal.

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (14)

Specific delivery dates

If you spend over $35 at Walmart, you'll get free shipping. Every product listing will give a specific date that you can expect your safe to arrive at your home. You can also view other similar items to compare them, and read about unique product features and specifications.

Return policy may depend on seller

Walmart's return policy states that you can return items for free by mail or to a store near you within 90 days of purchase. However, we noticed that some distributors that sell their safes through Walmart have shorter return policies, so be sure to check. For example, Ktaxon safes need to be returned within 30 days and customers are also charged a 5-15% restocking fee depending on the product.

Lots of the basics

Overall Walmart is a reliable place to shop and a great place to find a huge range of products at affordable prices. They have an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau and a long-standing history as a reputable company. They've earned a high rating from us for their inventory of home safes, but it is important to note that if you're looking for really big safes with high fire- and water-resistant ratings and other top-of-the-line features, you won't find a lot of that here. Mostly you'll get middle-grade, functional home safes that work for basic needs.

Nationwide Safes

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (17)

  • "A+" Better Business Bureau rating
  • Free shipping on orders over $99
  • 30-day return policy

Nationwide Safes boasts that they specialize in providing customers with a huge selection of high-quality safes and security equipment including gun safes, drop safes, wall safes, and more. They also carry an extensive selection of fire/burglary safes, in-floor safes, and security boxes for small items. As far as how long this company has been in business or where they got their start, there isn't much information.

5-step product finder

Nationwide Safes' website could use some serious updating, but it works well enough to show you what they offer. Their 5-step product finder helps you find your "perfect safe" by selecting what types of valuables you want to protect, the type of protection you need (burglary, fire, water), how much storage space you want, the type of lock you prefer, and how much money you want to spend. If you provide this information, it will narrow down the inventory of over 320 options to just the safes that match what you've got in mind.

Safes that are the real deal

The majority of safes here fall into the "More than $2,000" category if you're narrowing down by price. This is because there are quite a few options for safes that are over 6 cubic feet with thick, fire-resistant doors, carpeted interiors, high impact ratings, and more. Essentially you'll find a bigger selection of large, no-nonsense models that are harder to find from other retailers that don't specialize in home safes.

Free shipping over $99

When you view a safe you're interested in on Nationwide Safes' website, you can see whether or not it's in-stock and when it is estimated to ship, choose the lock type (upgrades are an option for an added fee), and choose the delivery you want. Curbside delivery for orders over $99 is free, but you can pay $150 for garage or threshold delivery or between $299 and $319 (cost depends on the number of stairs you have) for white glove delivery where they'll install the safe in your home.

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (18)

Lacking product reviews

Nationwide Safes says they are currently collecting customer reviews on their individual products, but in the meantime you can read a few verified customer reviews from customers who share their overall shopping experience. They say 97% of customers give them a 4 or 5 star rating and there are thousands of reviews, but for some reason we aren't able to view them all, which is disappointing. Because of this, there isn't a way to read a lot of helpful, unfiltered reviews that will give you confidence when spending hundreds of dollars on a safe.

Non-flexible return policy

If for any reason you're unhappy with the safe you buy from Nationwide Safes, you can return it within 30 days, with a few exceptions. Anything over 50 pounds is non-returnable, as well as anything that shows wear and tear or items that begin with "S" or "F" in the product number. You might easily buy a safe that weighs over 50 pounds, so keep this in mind before checkout. Even if your safe is eligible for a return, you'll be responsible for shipping and handling costs in addition to a 15% restocking fee.

Give them a try

Nationwide Safes has an awesome selection, especially for people wanting tall gun safes and other large boxes for securing a lot of valuables. We expect that most people will find what they're looking for here, so this company earns a positive recommendation from us. They have an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau and good customer reviews, which is reassuring. We aren't big fans of their return policy, but if you're able to get the exact safe you need, hopefully it won't be an issue. Give Nationwide Safes some of your time to see if they can get you taken care of.

Home Depot

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (21)

  • "A+" Better Business Bureau rating
  • Low price guarantee
  • Free shipping
  • Free in-store pickup
  • 90-day return policy

When you think of Home Depot, you probably think of their big orange and white buildings, the smell of lumber, home improvement projects, and maybe even popcorn if you've browsed their aisles on a Saturday and were given a tasty treat while you shopped. What you might not think of is buying home safes at Home Depot, but sure enough they have a selection of them available through their online store. Their platform makes it easy to find what you're looking for and get a solid overview of their inventory with the click of a few buttons.

Handy website

There are 79 options for home safes through Home Depot. This isn't a huge selection, but it's enough to cover most people's basic needs - along with providing unfiltered customer reviews on all their products to help you feel educated before making a purchase. You can quickly narrow down the options by brand, safe size, interior depth, review ratings, material, interior height, lock type, price, protection type, and more. If you're interested in a few of the safes, Home Depot lets you select them and press "compare now" to quickly review the differences between them and pick your favorite.

Price match guarantee

The prices of home safes through Home Depot's website are competitive, especially when considering that they sell name brands like SentrySafe, Honeywell, Sports Afield, MESA, BARSKA, and others. If you happen to find an identical safe through a competitor's website for a lower price, Home Depot will match it if you provide customer service with the ad, printout, or photo of the competing product.

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (22)

Free shipping

All of the home safes ship free from Home Depot and each product page displays a specific date you can expect it to arrive by. Some safes might be available in store, which means you can buy it online and do a store pickup right away. This is a free service, so if you need your safe as soon as possible, it's a good option. Regardless of the delivery choice you make, Home Depot delivers quickly and reliably.

90-day return policy

Home Depot's return policy is more generous than most stores that sell home safes in our review. New, unopened merchandise can be returned within 90 days to one of their locations near you or via mail. You can initiate your return online and print out a shipping label to be used at your nearest UPS access point.

Covers the basics

The Better Business Bureau gives Home Depot an "A+" rating. They've been around since 1978 serving millions of customers, so we know this is a reliable and legitimate business. If you're looking for hardcore gun safes or something huge to keep all your major belongings as safe as Fort Knox and resistant to all types of temperatures and natural disasters, Home Depot isn't going to have much for you. However, their inventory of home safes covers all the basics and is enough for what most people would need. We like that shipping is free, they have a sleek platform, and you have 90 days to return anything you change your mind about. Because of this, Home Depot has earned a high rating from us.

Best Buy

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (25)

  • "A" rating from the Better Business Bureau
  • Price match guarantee
  • Free same-day curbside pickup
  • Free shipping

Best Buy is an international electronics retailer with over 1,000 brick-and-mortar stores throughout the United States and Canada. They are primarily known for selling phones, smart watches, computers, appliances, video games and consoles, car electronics, hearing aids, fitness equipment, security systems, and other common household electronics. You don't usually think of home safes when you shop at Best Buy, but they do have a small selection available online.

Basic selection

Best Buy has a basic selection of enough home safes to allow you to find something small, affordable, and functional to work in your home. There are only 51 choices, most of which are under 1.5 cubic feet and less than 12" wide: just enough space to fit important documents, small electronics, and other important assets. The brands you'll find include Honeywell, Barska, Motorola, Safe Inside, and First Alert.

Find what you need quick

Finding whether or not one of the safes from Best Buy is going to fit your needs will be a really quick process. You can sort the options by brand, width, features (e.g. water resistant, ETL listed, adjustable shelving, and interior lights), current deals, color, discount, material, customer rating, and price. We especially like that you can read unfiltered customer ratings to know if the safes from Best Buy are going to be easy to use, heavy, have a loud keypad, have a long battery life, or anything else you're concerned about.

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (26)

Price match guarantee

The majority of the safes at Best Buy are in the $250 - $500 range, with some options for less or more than this. This seems pretty reasonable for an economical, simple safe and all options also qualify for free shipping. If you happen to find an identical safe elsewhere for a better price, Best Buy offers a price match guarantee.

Act fast on returns

If you need to return your home safe to Best Buy, you can either take it back to one of their stores for processing or use their prepaid return shipping label and send it in the mail - whichever you find most convenient. The standard return policy at Best Buy is 15 days, so you'll need to act quickly if you want to initiate a return.

Limited choices

Best Buy is undoubtedly one of the best places to buy certain electronics, but home safes aren't their bread and butter. There is no reason not to buy one here, but you will find a bigger selection elsewhere if you're in the market for something really specific. Best Buy has an "A" rating from the Better Business Bureau and we like that they allow customers to leave reviews, but you'll probably save yourself some time by browsing home safes from a higher-rated company with a bigger selection first.

Buy a Safe

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (29)

  • 30-day return policy
  • 21 categories of safes
  • Safes over 150 pounds ship free

Buy a Safe has their invitation all in the name. They want customers to buy one of their personalized solutions for securing valuables and promise to always stock the most effective safes in today's market. Whether you're looking for a floor, wall, or fire safe, Buy a Safe has plenty of options. The company was founded in 1991 and although it looks as if their website hasn't been updated since it was launched in 2002, Buy a Safe focuses more on customer service and prides themselves on keeping buyers happy with their state-of-the-art products.

Lots of categories of safes

The brands of safes from Buy a Safe include their own in addition to Alarm Lock, AMSEC, Buddy, Cobalt Safes, Detex, Hollon, First Alert, GE, GunVault, Honeywell, and others. Based on the number of brands, the mission of this company, and the many product categories they have, we expected a lot bigger inventory from Buy a Safe. They carry biometric safes, burglary protection safes, drop safes, exit alarms, gun safes, hotel safes, key cabinets, keyless door locks, and more. However, the selection within each category is slim in some areas. Drop safes have the biggest inventory, but you'll only find around 6 or so products in any other category.

Detailed features and product descriptions

Buy a Safe gives a lot of helpful information about the safes they sell. When you click on one you're interested in, you'll see the price, whether or not it's in stock and how soon it will ship, a few photos of the safe, technical specs like dimensions, thickness, weight, door clearance, and more. In the description of the safe you can see a list of all the features as well as information about where to install it and about the brand itself.

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (30)

Free shipping on big products

All safes that weigh over 150 pounds ship free to any of the 48 contiguous states in the US. For safes that weigh less than 150 pounds, you can add them to your shopping cart and then calculate rates based on your zip code. You can expect to pay anywhere from $15 to $45 depending on the speed of delivery you want.

30-day return and restocking fees

If you need to return the safe you've purchased from Buy a Safe, they'll take it back within 30 days as long as it is unopened and unused. The catch with this is that all returns are charged a 20% restocking fee, which means you could lose out on hundreds of dollars. If you've purchased a high-security lock, unfortunately those aren't eligible for returns at all.

Lacking customer reviews

The biggest thing lacking at Buy a Safe is customer reviews. You can't read product reviews on individual safes, which is disappointing. On top of that, they don't have a Better Business Bureau rating and we can't find much about their reputation or reliability anywhere else. This might very well be a fantastic place to buy safes, especially since they have a long list of categories and competitive prices, but it would be nice if they added some transparency to their website. For these reasons, Buy a Safe earns an average rating from us.

Lowes

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (33)

  • "A+" Better Business Bureau rating
  • Price match promise
  • Free returns
  • 90-day return policy
  • Free shipping on orders over $45

Lowes is an American retail chain that specializes in home improvement. They are based out of Mooresville, North Carolina and operate over 2,000 locations throughout the United States and Canada. They serve a staggering 20 million customers per week with over 90 billion dollars in sales annually. This company is the go-to place for many people looking for appliances, home decor, furniture, tools, building supplies, paint, plumbing products, yard care, and so much more.

Smorgasbord of products

At first glance, Lowes appears to have an impressive selection of safes, with over 612 results. However, our excitement fell when we realized that for some reason this includes sticky note holders, silicone muffin pans, food storage containers, pest control, a grill pan set, measuring cups, and other non-related items. In reality there are only about 29 home safes here, which is one of the smallest inventories we've seen. On top of this, many of the safes are out of stock, leaving even fewer options for buyers. For reasons we don't understand, shopping for home safes through the website picks up a bunch of other products if you aren't using the right keywords, which makes it difficult to see a specific list of your choices.

Mostly small safes

The types of safes that Lowes carries include a few gun safes and mostly small, home security digital or biometric safes that would fit papers, jewelry, and other small items. Some of the choices have customer reviews on them, which is helpful. Others don't have any yet, but the option to leave them is there. Each listing highlights the important features of the safe, gives an overview of the product, and all the specifications. You can compare the safes with other models and quickly see an overview of how they are similar and/or different.

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (34)

Low price guarantee

The cost of a safe mostly depends on the brand, features, and size, so it's hard to say for sure if something is overpriced. Luckily Lowes has a "Lowes Price Promise" that says if you find an identical in-stock item from another retailer, they'll match it. By validating the competitor's price through an associate in store or over the phone with a customer service agent, you'll qualify for the lowest price. In addition, all products ship for free if you spend over $45 online.

Return in-store or by mail for free

The perk of having a lot of Lowes locations throughout the United States is that you can easily return any items in store for free if you don't want to go through the hassle of dealing with the post office. If that's not the best option for you, Lowes offers free parcel returns as well. You'll need to initiate your return through their website to get your return label. New, unused merchandise can be exchanged or returned within 90 days of the purchase date.

Home safes aren't their specialty

Lowes really is a fantastic store for most products and they have an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau. If you need anything for a home improvement project, you'll be satisfied if you shop here. Unfortunately, home safes aren't their specialty and their inventory is small. If you aren't picky, you might score something here that works well for you, but we recommend starting out with a higher-rated retailer to get a bigger selection of home safes with more customer ratings.

Target

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (37)

  • "A+" Better Business Bureau rating
  • Free shipping on orders over $35
  • 90-day return policy

We all know Target sells cute clothes, home essentials, furniture, and even food, but we were surprised to see that they also have a few safes in their online inventory. This company was founded in 1902 and has nearly 2,000 stores throughout the United States. Their website is comprehensive, easy to use, and provides more than enough details to give you confidence when you shop it online.

Functional selection

Home safes are definitely not what Target touts as their bread and butter, but nevertheless they have options for people looking for small, simple, and functional products. There are only 41 safes to choose from, but you can filter them by category, price, features, guest ratings, type, and brand. This probably isn't most people's go-to place for home safes, so there aren't a ton of customer reviews on each product, but some do have them and we like the transparency.

Get expert answers

You'll always be able to see a few pictures of the safe you're interested in from different angles as well as get a firm delivery date, shipping costs, and product details. In addition to customer reviews, buyers can ask questions about the product and get answers from other customers or the product expert team if any details about the safe are unclear.

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (38)

Low prices for decent quality

Quite a few of the safes are on sale through Target. Since you aren't getting top-of-the-line military-grade safes here anyway, you probably won't spend more than a couple hundred dollars on any given safe. If you're spending over $35, you'll get free 2-day shipping too.

90-day return policy

You can't beat Target's 90-day return policy that makes it easy to get a full refund by taking your items back to one of their stores or sending it in the mail. You get free shipping on any mailed return, but if you live near a Target store, it might be even more convenient to take the safe directly to them and get your refund right away.

Not the best place for safes

Target is a great place to buy a lot of things. If you are taking a little safe to college or want something for a hotel room, you could find something functional here, but their inventory is small and the quality you'll be getting is less than what you could find elsewhere. As much as we appreciate all that Target has to offer as well as their "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau and generous company policies, this isn't going to be a good place to look for a wide variety of home safes.

Gun Safes

The 10 Best Home Safe Stores for 2024 | Free Buyers Guide (41)

  • Over 450 home and office safes
  • Detailed product descriptions
  • Option for customers to leave product reviews

GunSafes specializes in selling pistol and handgun safes, biometric safes, wall safes, vehicle safes, truck vaults, waterproof and fireproof gun safes, tactical gun safes, and other products. The brands they sell include Browning, Rhino/Kodiak, Liberty, American Security, and many more. GunSafes boasts that they offer the best possible online shopping experience by avoiding delays and backorders on all purchases.

Over 450 home and office safes

Although GunSafes' company name implies that you'll just find safes here to secure guns, there are plenty of other options too. Their home and office safe collection includes over 450 models. This includes money chests, underbed storage safes, large fireproof safes, locked cabinet drawers, small tactical home safes, fire/water chests, and more. If you know what you're looking for, you can narrow down the selection by brand, height, width, depth, fire protection, TL, special ratings, and more.

Few product reviews

Many of the safes are available in a range of colors. You'll be able to see photos displaying all the options and read a product description with a list of features, technical ratings, specifications, warranty information (which varies by brand), and customer reviews. Unfortunately, there are almost no reviews on any of the products, so this isn't very helpful.

High prices hopefully means high quality

Although there is a selection of home safes for just a couple hundred of dollars, you can spend as much as $20,000 on a safe from GunSafes. Most of the safes are over $1,000, which hopefully means they are long-lasting, durable, and high-quality, but since there aren't customer reviews to back this up, we can't know for sure. Because GunSafes sells a variety of brands, we recommend doing an online search on the safe you're interested in to see if there are product reviews on that particular model elsewhere.

Vague delivery dates

Something disappointing about GunSafes is that they boast the efficiency of their delivery and shipping processes, but in the FAQs they state, "Due to the nature of our product offering, and vast selection of brands, it is too difficult to pinpoint an exact shipping date, but we do provide some guidelines to help you estimate the delivery." When you view a product, it will tell you whether or not an item is in stock and gives an estimated amount of time it will take for the safe to ship. A few of the safes are labeled "Quick Ship" which means they ship in 3-5 business days, so that is as fast as you would expect a delivery.

15% restocking fees

If you're unhappy with the safe you purchase for any reason, you can return it within 30 days of receipt to GunSafes. You'll need to notify customer service for a return authorization number and then send it back in its original packaging. The kicker is that not only are customers responsible for the cost of return shipping, but they also need to pay a 15% restocking fee. So if you happened to buy that $20,000 safe, you're out $3,000 in restocking fees. Ouch!

Disappointing reputation

GunSafes has a "D" rating from the Better Business Bureau, which is much lower than we'd like to see. The reason for the low rating is their failure to respond to one customer complaint, plus 15 other complaints filed against the business. This isn't an overly concerning amount of complaints, nor is it enough to assume it is a reflection of all buyers' experiences. However, other feedback from customers online is disheartening, including reports of damaged safes upon arrival, extremely delayed deliveries, difficulty resolving issues through customer service, and other problems. While a few people had great things to say about GunSafes, the majority of the reports we've seen are from customers with issues. Since you may be spending hundreds of dollars on a safe, we would err on the side of caution and shop elsewhere.
